Production desks for football club AV suite

It’s football fever here at MW Video Systems, as we are in the process of completing the manufacture of a set of production desks for a football club AV suite, down in our factory.

The desks are currently spanning the factory floor as our fitters complete the assembly. This is a service we provide to all clients, before any furniture is despatched.

Infact, we welcome the opportunity for clients to come to the factory and inspect the furniture before it is delivered and installed, ensuring any problems are dealt with effectively.

The production desks are bound for their multi-media studio, and will be 12.3 metres and 10 metres respectively, creating a professional Audio Visual suite for the club.

We hope to bring you an update of their new surroundings to kick-off with!

MW Video receive Employee of the Month award

Our team here at MW Video are celebrating this month as they received the greatest accolade of them all…the Employee of the Month award from parent company Thinking Space Systems.

Our three specialists, supported by the rest of the team, were recognised for the hard work and dedication shown over the last few months in meeting customers expectations and building relationships. With the reward being in the winning a number of high profile projects, our team are pretty proud of their achievements. But of course, with the Employee of the Month prize being the convenient parking space and bottle of bubbly, this was to be the icing on the cake!

Congratulations to all the team!

Neils scuba experience

neils-scuba experienceLast week, Neil migrated to the north of the country, visiting MW Video clients. Whilst in the area, Neil took the opportunity to look in on fellow Thinking Space colleague, Jason Gregory. After visiting Jason’s “home” office, Neil was invited along to Jason’s diving club at the local leisure centre that evening. Not only did Neil visit, he actually joined in and completed his very first try dive/scuba experience, using the full scuba gear to a depth of 12 ft.

Neil thanked Jason for his patience and excellent instruction, and as you can see from the photograph, even the Thinking Space beanie hat made an appearance underwater!

Neil’s on the button at Pinewood Studios

Back at Pinewood Studios…

This week, Neil was invited back to Pinewood Studios to visit TV Studio 2, where MW Video Systems had installed new broadcast furniture for their master control room some 18 months previous. It was Neil’s first opportunity to see the project fully completed and find out how its occupants are finding their new environment.

Whilst at the studios, Neil was given the opportunity to visit the set of the National Lottery show. Without further delay, Neil jumped at the chance to see an empty studio, but the “icing on the cake” was to press the red button! No balls were released, but Neil revelled in the opportunity, even if it was just for show!

Neil’s desk assembly challenge

The desk assembly challenge!

Having just returned from the IBC show in Amsterdam, our demonstration furniture was ready to re-assembled.  So, it fell to Neil to do the honours and re-build our custom media desk, but as a a desk assembly challenge, under timed conditions. With an impressive 48 minutes taken to build the desk, Neil goes to the top of our leader board.

It’s now even easier to build our desks, with the aid of the new interactive tutorials we have created.  Watch our custom media desk tutorial here.
