Above: new broadcast furniture for the JCB Presentation Theatre
MW Video Systems have recently completed the design and supply of two custom made consoles for the globally recognised construction and agricultural machinery manufacturer, JCB. As part of a major upgrade to the AV and media equipment at the 250-seat theatre within the visitors centre at their headquarters in Rocester, MW Video were tasked by main contractors Feltech to provide the technical furniture. The two consoles have been fitted to the new production control rooms and transmission control rooms, which are now responsible for the input and output of all events, reveals, outside broadcasts and films in different languages.
The project required tight deadlines, in time for the hosting of JCB’s largest event to date, the Global Dealer conference. MW Video Systems worked closely with main contractor Feltech to design and supply the furniture, which also included Novus monitor mounting arms and laptop holders, to meet the project deadline. Feltech’s Sales Director, Nevil Bounds commented “we took an approach that “the show must go on” and under the leadership of Feltech Project manager Neil Whybrow, we met the deadline” .
The success of the project has resulted in well-deserved recognition for Feltech. In June 2013, Feltech won the Business Installation of the Year Award at the AV Awards for their role in this project, and in January 2014 it has been announced that Feltech are shortlisted as finalists in the Inavate 2014 awards in the category “corporate facilities”.
For more information, download our case study here and read more from Feltech on their role as main contractor for the project here.
Technical furniture manufacturers MW Video Systems are celebrating a successful BVE London exhibition. The company, who have been supplying furniture to the media industry worldwide for over 30 years, demonstrated their latest products at the event.
The wow factor certainly hit home with the MW Video standard edit desk being demonstrated in a striking lime green colour. Available in other colours, finishes and configurations, the standard edit desk is MW video’s answer to a speedy solution for your studio furniture needs.
By contrast, an example of a custom designed media desk was demonstrated, populated with useful studio accessories such as equipment pods, racks, monitor mounts, task lighting and tablet holders.
Two examples of Evolution media walls displayed large flat screen monitors, broadcasting the new company video, which can be viewed on their website along with the new product brochure launched at the show.
In the midst of the bustle of BVE London exhibition last week, Neil and Liz managed to take some time out with a trip on the Emirates Air Line. With breathtaking night time views over the city of London, Neil, a budding photographer, managed to capture the scenes from the skies, including a selfie of the pair.
We are currently exhibiting our broadcast furniture range at BVE London 2014 at the ExCel arena. Visit Neil and Liz on our stand P07 until Thursday, you can’t miss our blue stand! Our special feature this year is a lime green edit desk, and with one day into the show already, we have had quite a few compliments about it, all to prove that really anything is possible…
